What is the difference between "look in" and "look at" here?

"Look in" means to see inside something. "Look at" means to see something directly. Ex: She looked in the closet to find her dress. Ex: He likes to look at the cows when visiting his grandparent's farm. Ex: Look in the glass. Can you see the image on the bottom? Ex: Can we look at the house?
