Great question. When we say that something is "creepy" it means that it makes us feel nervous or uneasy. "Creepy behaviour" can mean actions that make someone nervous without being actively threatening, such as staring at someone without speaking to them, or sitting too close to them, or asking questions which are too personal. Whereas things that are gross will usually cause disgust, although not everything that is disgusting can be described as "gross". "Gross" usually suggests a person, place, thing, action, or statement is dirty, or vulgar, or rude, or without manners. In this clip you can see that the room is filled with trash and old food making it dirty and "gross". Ex: Don't spit on the ground. That's so gross. Ex: Why do you keep staring at me? It's creepy.
