"More or less" means "somewhat" or "approximately". It is used to acknowledge that something is mostly accurate, but not completely accurate. Ex: A: How much did your purse cost? B: Fifty dollars, more or less. I don't quite remember how much I paid for it. Ex: A: Is what she told me about you true? B: More or less, she knows me, but she doesn't know me very well.
