Can I use plural form of A when I say "every other A"?

Great question. You cannot use a plural form after the phrase "every other". This is because of the use of the word "every". Every is a determiner. Every meaning ‘each member of a group’. Because it is referring to an individual thing we use every + (other) + singular noun to refer individually to the members of a complete group of something except the subject, in this case the group is the flight attendants. We use "every other" to mean ‘excluding me’. Ex: We worked every other Sunday. Ex: Every other student got a A. I only got a B.
