Regarding the part "drive the innovation", is there any other word that can replace "drive"? Do you always use "drive" for these cases?

When we intend to say that something is doing the action of steering, propelling, or pushing forward something (especially things like change, innovation, etc.), drive is most often used. However, you can also use the above verbs or other synonyms with the same effect. Ex: Bill Gates is pushing forward a campaign for governments to engage in "germ wars." Ex: Many new startups are driving innovation in the tech sector.
