I don't believe so. That is just his last name. Conan is of Irish descent, and many Irish last names have apostrophes in them. For example, O'Leary, O'Neill, O'Sullivan, O'Connor, etc. The apostrophe actually holds a significant value to those with it in their name. These apostrophes actually represent the identity change that the Irish had to endure when under British rule. The apostrophe used to be over the O (Ó). This was changed after the letter because the British thought it looked weird and wanted it to be more English sounding. This Ó actually means "the descendant of ..." The apostrophe also was placed in different parts of an Irish surname, not just the beginning. For example, Ó Cinnéide is the Irish surname for Kelly, another popular Irish last name.
