Is there any difference between "seek" and "look for"?

These two verbs are very similar! However, "seek" has the additional meaning of attempting or desiring to obtain or achieve something, so it's a bit stronger in meaning than "find," which usually means to look for something. Ex: The man set out on an adventure to seek the meaning of life. Ex: I'm trying to look for my glasses, I seem to have misplaced them.
