What does "part Jewish" mean? Is it different from "I'm Jewish"?

"Part Jewish" means that the boy has partial Jewish ancestry. "I'm part x" is used to mean that someone's background is mixed (partial ancestry). It can also be used in a joking way. Ex. My grandmother is from the Philippines, so I'm part Filipina. Ex. I sleep so much, I must be part cat.
