‘Get real’ is a phrasal verb which is normally used to tell someone to understand the facts and to think rationally. Ex: Get real! She’s never going to date you. Ex: Let’s get real. The economy is heading for recession. However, in this case, ‘Get real’ is used similarly to ‘get serious’ or ‘get ready’.
