What does "of" mean after the "host"? Is it necessary?

"Of" is not necessarily needed here, but the rapper has used it to add rhyme and balance the number of syllables in the line. If these weren't song lyrics and this was just a casual conversation, "of" could have been omitted. Ex: I want to have a television show where I would be the host. = I would love to have a show I could be the host for.
