What does "in good shape" mean?
To be in "good shape" has two meanings: to be in good physical condition, or to be prepared and ready to do something. You can use this expression to comment on someone's physical condition (you can exclude the word "good"), or when you want to comment on someone's preparedness to do something. Ex: She has always exercised regularly, so she is in good shape. Ex: He needs to watch what he eats and exercise more to get into shape. Ex: All our luggage is packed and we're on time, so we're in good shape. Ex: The project is proceeding well. We are under budget and the client is happy, so we're in good shape.
