In what situation can I use "more of"? And would it be wrong to say "more emotional connection"?

You can use the phrase "more of" when you are giving additional information about what you want. Using "more emotional connection" simply means "additional emotional connection", so it does not have the same meaning as "more of an emotional connection". Ex: This dress is nice, but I am looking for a dress with more of a summer feeling. Ex: That's more of a belief than a theory.
