What does "aware" mean? Does it have the same meaning as noticing something?

It's similar! If you notice something, you are aware of - or have knowledge of it. To be "aware" of something is to have knowledge or a perception of it. Here, she "knows" that young children will be watching the movie, so she's intentional with what she does and says. Ex: I'm aware of the current problem in the office. Ex: She's aware of how people will talk about her if she decides to move back home.
