Sustainability is the principle of fulfilling the needs of current generations, without compromising the needs of future generations. This requires a balance between economic growth, environmental care, and social well-being. For example, environmental sustainability is especially important because we might not have a safe-enough world for future generations to live in as a lot of damage has been done to it already. Energy and transportation are some key elements to making sure we live in a sustainable way. Ex: It's more sustainable to take the subway or bus than to drive. Ex: If you want to live more sustainably, you can eat less meat or drive less.
