Why would they name the show's title "Stranger Things?" Wouldn't it be more natural to say "Strange Things?"

There could be a couple of reasons for the show's title! It could be related to a Stephen King novel, "Needful Things," which sounds similar. Or, there's a popular idiom that goes, "stranger things have happened," which means that although something could be strange or surprising, it is possible. So the title "Stranger Things" could be taken from the phrase "stranger things have happened," which aligns with the series' context quite well and sounds natural! Ex: I'm surprised Tim quit his job, but stranger things have happened. Ex: I don't think I'll ever get back together with her. Stranger things have happened, though.
