What does "wouldn't be much of a [something]" mean? Could you give me some examples?

To "not be much of a something" means to be a bad example, or to not be good at something. Ex: I wouldn't be much of a parent if I didn't support my kids. Ex: I'm not much of a singer. I only sing during karaoke. Ex: You're not much of a help. You can go. Ex: I wouldn't be much of a friend if I didn't hang out with you once in a while.
