What does "jawbreaker" mean?

A jawbreaker is a type of hard candy that is extremely difficult to bite into. It often causes your jaw to hurt (or even lock!) while eating it, so that's why it's called a jawbreaker (because it "breaks" your jaw). Ex: Let's buy some jawbreakers and soda at the convenience store. Ex: I like eating jawbreakers and other types of hard candy.
