Can "jockey" be used in other contexts besides horse racing?

As a noun, it's only used with horse racing! As a verb, it means to try and achieve something with every available means to gain or achieve something or to handle and manipulate something skillfully. Ex: The plumber was able to jockey the water pipes to work again, so we don't need to install new ones yet. Ex: He jockeyed his way to the championship.
