Can 'bigwig' be used this way? and does it function as a noun in this sentence?

Here it's used as an adjective! It's not common to use it like this. It's more common to use it as a noun! But, it works well as an adjective. I'd say it's kinda like describing it as grand and important. Ex: Visiting a castle sounds so bigwig! Ex: We're interviewing a few bigwigs tonight.
