If it were a negative feeling, it would be implied that it was bad. Ex: I have a bad feeling about John. I don't think he's telling the truth. Ex: I've started to develop feelings for Zoe. Ex: Terry has feelings for Martin, but Martin doesn't feel the same way. => Terry likes Martin, but Martin doesn't like Terry.
