What's the main difference between a "résumé" and a "portfolio?"

In relation to a representation of one's work, not investments, a "resume" is a short document to describe your qualifications and experience. Whereas a "portfolio" could include a variety of content like drawings, videos, documents, graphs, and more! Ex: I saw David's art portfolio. The pictures of his sculpture were impressive. Ex: I'm not sure what other experience to add to my resume.
