What's "stomp" mean? Is it different from "hit?"

"Stomp" is different from "hit!" One can only really stomp with their feet, whereas hitting is generally done with one's hands. To "stomp" means: to heavily step or tread. Ex: I heard my dad stomping into the house. Ex: Can you stomp out the fire? Ex: I like to stomp my feet to the beat of the music.
