A "proposition" is quite different from "issue" and "problem! A "proposition" means an offer or suggestion. However, a "problem" is similar to an "issue;" they're often interchangeable. It's a worry, something difficult to solve. "Issue" means an important subject or problem to discuss, think about, and solve. Ex: There's one issue. There's no food leftover from dinner. = There's one problem. There's no food leftover from dinner. Ex: I have a business proposition for you. Care to hear it? Ex: I'm not sure what the issue is. Ex: I can't seem to solve this problem.
