A "nest" is a place and structure where birds, other small animals, and bugs shelter and breed. A "hive" is a bee's "nest', but it's a more specific term for bees. It's where bees shelter and breed! "Nest" is commonly used with birds and with bugs other than bees. Ex: The ant nest was destroyed yesterday. Ex: Look! It's a bird nest in the tree!
