As far as I know, both "volk (German)" and "folk (English)" indicates "people." Then despite the different regions, do these words somehow related, perhaps?

English and modern German are related, and actually, English originally started as a dialect of old German! Ex: Look at all the folks here today! Ex: I used to drive a Volkswagen.
