"Marmalade" is a thick preserve made mainly from bitter oranges that have a tangy taste. "Jam" is a thick fruit spread made from all kinds of fruit and has a sweeter taste. Marmalades and jams are made similarly, using the whole fruit cooked down to a pulp and adding sugar. Ex: Paddington is known for his love of marmalade. Ex: My aunt makes the best strawberry jam! Ex: She isn't a fan of marmalade. Ex: Blueberry pecan bourbon jam is so tasty!
