If I say "show-off" to someone, would it be considered rude? If so, could you please tell me some alternative expressions to replace them?

It depends on the context and the way you say it. If you are saying this to a friend in a joking manner, it's usually not considered rude. If you were to say this to someone you don't know, they might take it as you being rude. It depends on the person and the nonverbal communication that you are giving off when saying it. There really isn't an alternative expression to "show-off" that I know of. Ex: What a show-off. Ex: He's always showing off in front of girls.
