The main difference is that "liberty" is how "freedom" is used so that it doesn't deny anyone else of their "freedoms." "Freedom" is the lack of restraint to fill one's own desires. The two need to work together to uphold some kind of moral standing when it comes to "freedom." Ex: We fight for liberty in this country so everyone can live freely. Ex: My children don't have the liberty to do whatever they want until they graduate.
