When "however" is placed at the front, middle, and end of the sentence, are the nuances getting different?

It depends on the sentence. In this sentence, it does not matter where "however" is placed. The sentence's meaning remains the same. Ex: However, there are other sources of income for artists. = There are, however, other sources of income for artists. However, you cannot use "however" as a conjunction. This would be grammatically incorrect. For example, "I was excited for tonight however, I have a bad cold." This is considered grammatically incorrect because these two sentences can function independently. You would use "but" instead.
