Does "in real time" mean the same as "instantly" or "immediately"?

The meaning is similar. "Real time" means that a process is happening without delay between the different events that are part of it. It can also mean that an event or process is happening at the same time it is being observed instead of after the fact. In the video, the expression "in real time" is used to describe a conversation and how one cannot take a lot of time to think about what they are going to say when talking to someone directly. Ex: I don't like real-time video games, I prefer turn-based ones because I have more time to think. Ex: I love watching live sports because everything is happening in real time!
