Is "take a pride" an idiom? and is it a commonly used expression?

"Take pride in" is a phrase that means to be proud of something. It is a pretty common expression, but I do not believe it is an idiom. Ex: Take pride in your accomplishments. You earned it! Ex: He takes a lot of pride in his woodworking.
