However, a "response" can include those things, but it's also much broader. A response can be a verbal or non-verbal acknowledgement, one's thoughts on a topic mentioned, or even an engagement in conversation. Ex: I said something, and no one at the table responded. They all just ignored me. Ex: The company wants a reply about their business proposal. What should I tell them?
