I've heard that many of the characters in "Winnie the Pooh" have named after real animals (like Tiger, Rabbit or Piglet, etc.). Then, does "Pooh" is a synonym of the word "bear"?

Ahh! Good question! So, "Pooh" does not mean bear. However, I have heard that the name "Winnie the Pooh" originated from the name of a pet bear called "Winnie" and a swan named "Pooh". There is an old English expression, "Oh pooh!", which expresses impatience or disapproval. These days it is not common to use the phrase. Ex: Oh pooh! I forgot to bring my wallet. Ex: They spilled juice all over the table. Oh pooh!
