I know there are five oceans in the world, including the Pacific Ocean. Can you tell me the origins of their names?

The Pacific Ocean was named by the explorer Magellan. He named it the Pacific ocean because pacific means peaceful since he thought the waters were very calm. The Greek God Atlas inspired the Atlantic Ocean's name. The Indian Ocean got its name from the Indian coast. The Arctic Ocean got its name from the Greek word Arktos, which means bear. Arktos was picked as the name because the constellation, the Ursa Major (AKA the Great Bear), pointed north toward the Arctic. The Antarctic Ocean was named in contrast to the Arctic Ocean because it's the southernmost point of the earth.
