What's the difference between "parody" and "homage"?

"Homage" means to show respect or honor publicly to someone or something. When using "homage," we usually use "pay" before it. Ex: Many pay homage to memorials for those who lost their lives in war. Ex: He paid homage to her for all of her achievements. "Parody" means to copy someone or something humorously. Ex: Weird Al is famous for his song parodies. Ex: She and her friends did a parody play of Pride and Prejudice.
