The number seems extremely high. Is it written in Fahrenheit, perhaps? If so, how do you convert Fahrenheit into celsius?

You're right! That number would be excessively high if it were Celsius. But it is in Fahrenheit! 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit converts to about 38 degrees Celsius. A general rule for converting Fahrenheit to Celsius is to minus 30 and then cut that number in half. It won't be completely accurate, but it will be close! Otherwise, to be more precise, subtract 32 and then divide by 1.8 to get the number in Celsius. Ex: Temperatures will reach a low of 23 degrees Fahrenheit tonight. Ex: A regular body temperature is about 36 degrees celsius.
