Rebecca

To "goof-off" means to not take work seriously, to be lazy, and do nothing when you should be doing something. It can also imply acting silly or doing something completely unrelated to what's supposed to be done. Ex: Instead of doing their homework, the boys were goofing-off and playing games. Ex: My group isn't taking the project seriously. All they want to do is goof off. Ex: They're a couple of goof-offs.
