If something is "baffling," it means it is impossible to understand or comprehend. To "baffle" someone means to leave someone in a perplexed state, unable to understand something. Ex: The magic show completely baffled me. I have no idea how he did those tricks! Ex: This research paper is baffling. I'm not sure how I'll ever understand it.
