What does "three summers" mean? Since there's only one summer in a single year, does it have the same meaning as "three years"?

Yeah, that's right! She uses "three summers" to measure time, so it does mean three years! Ex: I've spent two winters here. I don't want to stay for another one. Ex: I've known you for five years, so we've spent five summers together. What should we do for the next one?
