No, I wouldn't say that "baby love" is a common pet name for a loved one. It is a combination of two common ones, however ("baby" and "love" are very common) so it doesn't seem awkward or strange to use. Ex: Love, shall we get dinner outside? Ex: Baby, do you want a coffee?
