In office and field, what's the main difference between a "position" and "rank?" Also, which one is considered more important?

Good question! "Position" refers more to your job title, for example, "Business Analyst." Meanwhile, "rank" refers to how low or high you are in status within the organization. For example, if you are in intern, you are much lower in rank than a manager or partner. Ex: My new job position will be Marketing Manager. Ex: My father ranks quite high in the military.
