To "talk around [something]" means to avoid talking about something, maybe because it's difficult, embarrassing, or uncomfortable. "Talk around," by itself, means to change someone's point of view by talking. Ex: She kept talking around the issue instead of addressing it directly. Ex: Let's not talk around your behavior. Ex: If I teach English overseas, I still have to make sure I'm paying tax to my country. Ex: Do you know what the international tax policies are with immigrating and working remotely?
