In this context, "I found something" sounds better than "I've found something" since it's within the present time. Ex: I've found a nice place to stay next year. => Reporting a past discovery or decision that is still true in the present. Ex: Emma! I found your earrings on the floor. => Recently Ex: I found somewhere for us to eat tonight. Ex: I've found that sometimes people are kind; sometimes they are rude.
