student asking question

I've often seen people saying ", right?" at the end of the sentence. However, is it also common to say "of course" instead of "right"?

Yes! You can use "of course" instead of "right?". However, they are not always interchangeable. In this context, you could use "right" instead of "of course". However, the use of the word "right?" asks for confirmation when said to someone. Whereas the use of the phrase "of course" is saying that it's obvious and plain to see, and becomes more of a statement. "Of course" can also be used at the beginning of the sentence. Ex: You'll do your homework tonight, right? Ex: Of course. She'll pick the red dress. It's her favourite colour. Ex: I'll have the large cappuccino, of course.
