What's "in case" mean and when's it used?

"In case" means "in the possible circumstances that." It's used when there's a possibility of something happening or being true, then you have something to provide against it. Ex: In case you don't believe me, I have proof. = In the possible circumstance that you don't believe me, I have proof. Ex: There's a blanket in the back of the car in case you get cold.
