Would it sound too formal if I say "occupation" instead of "job" in this sentence?

It's not that it would sound too formal, it just has a slightly different meaning! An "occupation" is a specific role one can do for their lifetime, maybe at different places, such as a doctor or teacher. But, here, a "job" is specific to a place or position in a company. Ex: I quit my Job at Samsung and started my own tech company. Ex: I've been a doctor for about 15 years now. I've worked at, at least, five different hospitals. I would never dream of changing occupations. Ex: I changed my occupation two years after I graduated and got my first job. I was an accountant. Now I'm a fashion designer.
