About "use it to your advantage", what's it mean and in other contexts, can I use "disadvantage" instead of "advantage" there?

To "use [something] to one's advantage" means to use it so that one benefits from it. I haven't heard this phrase used with "disadvantage," but there is a similar phrase that can be used for other people and not yourself: "work [something] to [someone's] disadvantage." This means to make someone unlikely to succeed! Ex: You can use the extra 10 minutes of the game to your advantage! Try to get another goal. Ex: Work their lack of a team player to their disadvantage.
