student asking question

Just curious, but I heard people say "I would love to talk to you" before. What's the difference to say this way than "talking to you" as written in this sentence?

You can understand "people would love talking to you" to mean "people would love to talk to you." Essentially, the speaker is trying to encourage his friend to meet new people, as she is an interesting person with a lot to share. "I would love to talk to you" has a bit of a different connotation; this is an expression that is used when you want to let another person know that you would be very interesting in having a conversation with them. The "love" used in this expression is used to emphasize one's eagerness or excitement. Ex: Hello, Mr. Musk. I would love to talk to you about your work at Tesla, if you didn't mind. Ex: Let's go meet some new people. The people here would love to talk to you.
