Just curious, but does the tech term "cache" is related to "cash?" They sound similar!
Answer from a Native speaker
While they do sound similar, they are very different in meaning! "Cash" refers to money, whereas "cache" is hardware or software that hides something, usually data, temporarily. Ex: Whenever I run out of storage on my phone, I just clear out the cache. Ex: Do you have any cash for the coffee?
