In informal terms, "drama" refers to an event or events that cause intense conflict or problems. For example, a person who causes drama in the workplace is a person who causes conflict with other coworkers. Ex: I don't like a certain classmate of mine. She always causes drama. Ex: I like to avoid drama, so I'm on my own a lot of the time.
